I will never be able to express how grateful I am to my parents! No-one has believed in me more then them!
They worked day and night when I was young to find the partners 💸 we needed so I could ski.
At that time we were hearing from people that we were crazy to believe that I could make a living form Skicross, but my parents always believed in me and my dream of living form my passion.
Also really thankful for my brother and my sister who have played a big role in who I am today. 🥰 (we have always have been bad at taking family pictures 🙈 but as my brother says “Memories 🧠 are the most important”❤️)
We are maybe a crazy family but the ‘Smith Zoo’ have and always will do things our own way✨

So many emotions to finally hold my Olympic bronze medal I won in Beijing 2022 in my hands.
Really honored to have received from the hands of the IOC President Thomas Bach.

It has been a long journey to get here, but in the end it was a very special moment to be able to share this moment with my family, friends, team and partners - because normally it wouldn’t have been possible at the Olympics.

Thank you to everybody who came to the ceremony, making an amazing atmosphere filled with love and support. 💙💛🖤💚❤️

Die Schweizer Skicrosserin Fanny Smith hat heute in Lausanne anlässlich einer feierlichen Zeremonie des Internationalen Olympischen Komitees (IOC) ihre Bronzemedaille der Olympischen Spiele Beijing 2022 erhalten. In China war die Waadtländerin unmittelbar nach dem Final auf Rang 4 zurückgestuft worden – bevor ihr einige Wochen später der dritte Platz wieder zugesprochen wurde.

En Chine, la Vaudoise avait été rétrogradée au quatrième rang après la finale, avant de se voir réattribuer la troisième place.

I’m going to have my Olympic medal ceremony from Beijing!
We had to wait until the end of my season to organized it well and make it work for the Olympic committee Swiss Olympic and me 😉.

Even if with all what happened they took away the joy of my Olympic medal, I take the positive of being able to celebrate today with my family, my team, my close friends and my sponsors this huge achievement 🙌
