Friday night at the Matterhorn Plaza

Even though there are no Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening Downhill Races this year, we are looking forward to partying with you on the Matterhorn Plaza in front of the @zermatterhof in Zermatt.

Even if the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening Downhill Races can't take place this year as we wanted to, we won't let it spoil our mood and we look forward to seeing you in the Château Village in Cervinia!

We have to inform you that the women's downhill races on 5 and 6 November have to be cancelled without replacement, too. We hoped until the very end that this event could be held, but the hoped-for change in the weather has not arrived.
The organisers in Zermatt and Cervinia are already working on making the premiere of the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening a reality in 2023.
We thank you for your loyalty and hope to see you next year on the «Gran Becca». ❤️

Impressions of today's FIS snow control on the «Gran Becca».

❗️Dear athletes, fans, guests, partners and sponsors❗️

It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that despite the greatest efforts and the tireless commitment of the organising committee, the FIS has decided today after the final snow control that the men's downhill races of the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening have to be cancelled due to the temperatures and two days of rain.

However, the organisers are not giving up and are continuing to work at full speed in order to be able to hold the planned women's races on 5 and 6 November 2022 as scheduled. Information will follow on Tuesday, October 25.

To all guests and volunteers: We will inform you as soon as possible about the next steps. We kindly ask for your patience and thank you for your loyalty.
